30-06 Kleanbore palma match

I was cleaning a relatives workshop out and found a box of 30-06 remington kleanbore palma match. The bullets have a metal top. Was this an attempt at making a more uniform bullet or some sort of marketing hype?

After sixty eight years of competitive shooting, I never cease to be amazed at the circle our thinking operates in. A famous man once said that the only thing new in the world is some history you are unaware of. It's been quite a while since the 30/06 was used in Palma Competition.

Not patinad. I would say they are silver tips. What weight are the bullets? 155?

I never thought to actually look at the back of the box.
