.30-06 chamber specs

I'm building a spare hunting rifle and decided on chambering it in 30-06. I also shoot a few match rifles chambered in 30-06. Going to order a reamer shortly, and I rember reading an article from German Salazar that had some reamer specs, but I'm unable to find it. I'd like something to work well with anything from the 155 lapua scener to some 180 gr hunting bullets. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks.

The reamer he used was a .30-06 Serengheti Reamer from Pacific Tool and Gauge. It has the same leade as a .308 and that may have been why it shot better. I think the throat is long enough for what you're looking to do also. I think it's a standard catalog item.

Here is the PT&G "Serengeti" reamer print. Note the 1.5° leade angle and .086" freebore. That would be a little short for a .308 Win, .30-'06 has a .385" neck length and can accommodate a longer bullet for a given freebore length.

Have one that shoots 215 Hybrids at 0.5 MOA or less using H4350. !55 Lapuas same accuracy using H4895. I think you will like it. Bill

I was looking for the same, spoke with Dave Kiff, I suggested a 118 freebore, decided on a 115 freebore, works fine with 180 nosler accubonds ogive to 2.615 very accurate.
