3/8s to weaver /picatinny adapter ??

I use Burris signature Zee rings on every thing, and decided to use then on my new 22lr. I have a bunch on guns and spares so I started looking for and adapter. Its a little spring loaded thing and came with a China return address and no instructions. It looks to me as if it compresses and goes inside the ring and when tightened the clamp screw on the ring compresses the ring and the adapter. But there is a small set screw that screws down from the top of the adapter. I have no idea what the set screw is for or how you would tighten it after the ring is in place. Any one ever use one of these, I bought it cause it would almost be invisible once installed. Thanks for your help!! mark

Did you get it from Amazon ? If so the screws on top push the receiver down and the adapter up , locking it in place and using the bevel to center the adapter .

Gary I think that the screw will be covered up by the rings. Yes it came form amazon. It looked like the simplest one they had. Ill install tonight, then the CZ will live! Now its just in the safe in its plastic bag from the factory. So sad we don't have a range like the Game Commission promised, or id be shooting it every day.

Even though a slot is there it would not be wise to put your ring there . The screw I'm talking about will be screwed down , out of the way of normal 3/8 groove install . But your cz has 11 mm I think ) dovtail which is a little wider which will make the sandwich spring loaded thingy wider and will off set your ring , if they even fit on the springy thing . The screws are to secure and center the base on a 3/8 dovetail it'll also center it on yours but the width of the springy thing isn't the same as on on 3/8 install . The top screws must be snugged up , not farmer joe tight , to center the adapter than once you snug the top screws tighten the springy thing . That way it's centered .

I checked the owners manual and it is a 3/8s dovetail, remember its a 452 AMERICAN. I haven't scoped it yet I still got a week. Ive been building cabinets and spraying, no gun play while HIGH. And Arnold are you a little high or just having problems with the meds? What ever it sounds like fun!

Mark , do you shoot 22 cfire ? Widners has 22 52 gr hpfbase on sale , Speer 1000-$85

CZ sells an 11mm dovetail to Weaver adapter. It slides over the dovetail on the CZ and has set screws that go through the adapter from the top and press against the CZ's action to lock it in place. The adapter fits very well. However the set screws it came with were a little too long and stuck up past the top of the adapter, interfering with the rings. Once I ground about .050" off the end of the set screws, everything fit great.

I haven't tried it, but it looks to me like the adapter would also accept Picatinney rings.

Wolfman they sure do look good !!! My little adapters did not work and Ggmac ( Gary )and I traded scope rings and made it work. Shot it a couple of weeks ago with Gary, the range was set up for 200yds and the wind was blowing hard enough to blow off your ball cap. The CZ and my 416 Savage were making 6 and 7 inch groups with Federal auto match. I haven't had time to find the ammo either gun likes, but was impressed with both of them.

the DIP rail is the best way I have seen to use the Burris rings on the CZ rifles,,they make 11mm and 3/8ths for the CZs and the 452 American uses the 3/8ths version ,,when installing the DIP rail drop a single #7 1/2 lead shot in the hole before tightening the screws down to avoid marring the top of the CZ action and it actually helps lock the rail in place,,

I have thought about just having all mine drilled an tapped as I dont ever see selling them ,,

really do Love my Lilja bbled Stith stocked 455 bench gun,,and my 452 UL position rifle,,

The dovetails on the rifle I was mounting the scope on (CZ 452) has a 3/8s dovetail and the adapters when fit in the ring were so tight I couldn't get them on the receiver. Maybe I could have with a hammer but the rifle is new and unscratched and I wanted to stay that way.

Thanks. I've had Signature rings that were tight out of the box. A little leverage with a screw driver in the slot cut took care of the problem.
