3/4" Aluminum on ebay

I came across this looking for some plates to make a few things. I thought it was a pretty decent deal to share. 3/4" 6061 alum. Approx 5 3/4" x 7 1/2" Looks like he relists as he sells. Said he had 500 pcs to sell. $51.24 with shipping and tax for 5 pcs.

Look around for scrap metal businesses. They almost always have some stuff laying around. It's fun to go dumpster diving. You never know what you needed until you find it.

My local scrap yard has a new steel business.
last I was there the price on Aluminum drops (left over pieces from custom cuts) was $4/lb
They have hot roll and tool steels.
Check around your localality.
Tool and die shops have useful scrap often as well
