2nd trip to the range for 6mmBR...very happy

I paid $75 for a 21" 5 pound Shilen Stainless 6mmPPC take off barrel on Ebay.

I paid $175 for an old 1918 Savage 99 take down 250-3000 with rotten bore. I drilled and tapped it and put on a 20X scope.

I got some used Rem 6mmBR brass used on a forum.

I got some W748 powder from a guy leaving the country.

I got the bulk rate for,250) 65 gr Vmax bullets at Midsouth.

I moly coated the bullets with BBs and magnetically separated them with a magnet I got out of the trash at work.

I went to the range once before, the 1 in 14" twist could not stabilize the 75 gr Vmax bullets.

Today the 65 gr were stabilized at 3150 fps 33.5 gr W748 ~45,000 psi.

The first group was good, before the wind started up, 0.3" 3 shot group at 100 yards.

Good 4 u....it is difficult to make 1 shoot bad.......wait till you move up to premium botique bullets.....I have some used bullets if ur lookin for a real deal...hahaha....Roger

This rifle will probably never get to the range with me again, but I will build more 6mmBR rifles, and hopefully take one hunting.
