2nd F-open rifle stock opinions

Looking for opinions on my 2nd f-open rifle stock. I have 8-10 months so I have time since BAT is quoting me a year for my action, which is a duplicate action of the one I have now. My F-open rifle right now is a PR&T lowboy stock and I love the thing. If I get another laminate stock, it will probably be a lowboy stock.

However, the fiberglass stocks also appeal to me and I would be looking at the McMillan F-Class stock.

Any advantages/disadvantages?

I know its probably best to have the same stock so you get used to the same stock and practice with the same setup. But fiberglass is a little more low maintenance, especially in bad weather or huge temp swings. Since I am getting the same action, I can hopefully interchange from one stock to another with the same action since the bedding should be near identical.

I have 1 PR&T "Low-Boy" and it is a beautiful stock and it is "user friendly".. I have 3 McMillan "MBR Tooley" stocks. They are more to my liking. They track great, keep torque to a minimum and are VERY stable. I also think, although I don't have one, that the Shehane Tracker is every bit as good as the Tooley..

I will also reiterate the Tooley MBR , stable , smooth , comfortable , good looking . In my ever so humble (arrogant, haughty, pompous ) opinion , The secondary would be the exact match of the first .

If it were me I would stay with the PRT stock. I like having the consistency of the same stocks. They track the same and shoot the same. I have a PRT, McMillian, and a Elieso. I have to shoot each of the three stocks a little different. As time permits I will change them all over to the PRT stock.

My opinion " Ray's stocks track the best". I have the PRT on my 300wsm and it is awesome. I don't think it would track as well if it were in my McMillian F-class stock.
