Been setting in one spot for 8 days, 9 hours a day seeing nothing but does with their baby's all day long and then it's all over in less than 2 minutes......
Yesterday at 2:15 on the edge of the wood line just under 200 yards out steps this nice buck eyeballing 5 does feeding in my greenfield, the girls spotted him and off they went. He started off after them, and by the time he was about in the second slot I have to shoot through, I had the .284 XP-100 slide into the sandbag and the scope turned up "3x12 Burris" and waiting for him. He stepped into the opening and a 140 grain Ballistic Tip met him there.... He disappeared from sight but I saw him take the hit in the scope so I wasn't worried. He made it about 45 yards.......... hard to go much further with a groove cut through your heart... 9 point-178 # pretty nice buck for a old guy that don't walk so good...
