I am going to have a 8.25 twist Bart line coming off of my long range Class gun in about three weeks. It has 800 rounds through it and still shooting well. I have two new barrels made. Last few strings I shot were still in the 190s at 1000 yards. My phone is 330 233 7621 for details

Thanks for your reply. I have a guy here in Utah that might have a barrel for me. He thinks he bought a couple years ago and then ended up buying a Shehane complete rifle. He is checking for me.

Just wondering about what price you would sell the used barrel for? I have a really nice Panda F Class actioned rifle that has the RAD system and currently 6 BR barrel. Shot last weekend in Idaho and shot pretty good with my Savage .284 but had trigger problems. (don't like the accu-trigger much.) thought next time using the Panda.

I am guessing you are keeping the new barrels.

Yes, I am keeping New barrels, going to be putting one on real soon. I redo mine every two years and that keeps them well under the wear out stage. This has no cracking and has sharp rifling right up to the beginning of the chamber. Standard 284 with 205 free bore I believe. $200 plus shipping. I bought it off of grizzly machine it’s a 32 inch, 8.25 twist heavy varmit

How many good rounds do you think are left.? Is the free bore kind of standard for the .284? I just have a Savage with target action right now.

It’s probably at half-life, I normally take mine off before 1500 rounds because they won’t make another year. I have a good bit of shooting planned for next year hence the reason for taking this one off now. I would say there’s probably 700 good ones left in there that’s gonna keep you in the 190 strings at 1000 yards. The free on mine is nothing special, it’s a little bit long for the larger bullets. I have rifling right up to the chamber and no fire cracking at this point. I would say you’d be good for a bit. I shoot 51.4 grains of H 4350 with the burger 180 hybrid. I was going to set mine back an inch and then shoot it for a full season again two years

That was good shooting at 900, I don’t get to shoot that distance very often, just once a year at the Camp Perry Palma match. Of course I shoot it F class. That’s the only time I shoot 800 or 900. 600 and 1000 for me and a bunch of short range

Yes I know all of them. Jim Seacrest is recovering from a heart attack. I'll think about the barrels. I appreciate your help. Looks like at grizzly they have a new 32" 8.25 twist. $600 probably another $250 to chamber. Lots of money for an old retired guy.

Had no intention at first but I'm gonna throw this out there...
I have a Bartlien 8-twist 32", 284, threaded at muzzle for a Buckys tuner. I bought this from a buddy. However, he was a proponent of tight neck chambers. The neck is .315. I cannot tell you what the FB is, no idea. He is not sure anymore either. There is 700rnds on the bore.
All I can say is, I saw this barrel perform at a Stars and Bars 1000 yd match in Georgia and he took the day using that barrel w/ two clean relays and a 199. My plan is to rechamber with my reamer and add machining for an Ezell tuner. PM if interested.
