284 win short action help

Any advice out there for leade length on my 284 win short action ? Planning on running 162 Amax bullets to a OAL of 2.950 in AI mags. I'm in the ballpark mindset of around .080 in just doing some basic measurements. Not going to run anything longer than 168 Berger hunting hybrids.

Are you sure AI sa mags take 2.95" coal ? I have AM mags and they only take 2.87"ish.

I wouldn't want to run them much more than 2.850. That would give .040 wiggle room for a round.
This is with the short action AI magazine .

Yes I have 2 accurate mags that for my PTG bottom metal an fit 2.950 coal rounds.

Zero 333, you must have a binder plate on the inside of the mag where the bullet tip faces. Takes quite a bit of oal away from the round. I had one too but use it in my 308 that I do load at 2.850.
