284 Win Reamer

I have been shooting a 284 Win, using necked-upped 6.5-284 brass and 168gr Berger VLD's out of a 1:10 twist Krieger barrel, for the past one and a half years.
I now want to order my own reamer from Pacific, but need advise on the specs.
I think the previous neck was .315,minimum neck turning), but have no idea what the freebore should be with the 168gr bullets.
Any advice out there?

Hi Chris here is a copy of my chamber print it shoots 168 to 180gr VLD's very well it is neck turned i turn the cases to .310

The only dimentions i would change are the base measurement .200 up from the bolthead i would go to .500 from .4993 just so the standard Redding die sizes it a bit better i use Lapua brass necked up. and the throat diameter to .2843.

Here's a copy of my no-neck turn reamer. I haven't shot it yet, so I can't say how it'll do, but it's the basic reamer pushed out .015" in the throat. Looks like it may be a touch too short for seating 180VLD's, but it should be spot on with the 175SMK's.

I'd call Dave Kiff, and tell him what you need. Then, let him tell you what he can do for you. He's been great to work with.
