Do u think it’s long enough to run 180 hybrids ? Or should I stick with 168Most people doing .003-.005 clearance. So that would be anywhere from 307 to 311. Also 190 is pretty short freebore if you want to run the 180+ sized Bullets.
Is that a 307 to .311 loaded round or beforeJust have to try it and see they should work but they’ll be seated fairly deep
Loaded round would work anywhere from 307 to 311.Is that a 307 to .311 loaded round or before
It'll be close. The 168s will be fine.Do u think it’s long enough to run 180 hybrids ? Or should I stick with 168

Thanks for the infoOn a .317" neck chamber your loaded round should be .313" or less. I found my .284 with unturned Norma and Peterson brass/.319" neck chamber needed .314" or less loaded neck diameter for a bullet to pass freely into a fired case neck.
I run tighter clearance on my 6dasher and bra but I got a 310 loaded round on my 318 neck 284 and it does fine.I have a A few bench guns built with tight neck chambers. Both of them use a lot less clearance. Is there something different about the 284.
Ok sounds good. Just curiousI run tighter clearance on my 6dasher and bra but I got a 310 loaded round on my 318 neck 284 and it does fine.
Thank you for the info. That’s what I was figuring to . A .312I run .312 loaded round with a .317 chamber, for .005 clearance. I use a .310 bushing in my Whidden sizing die. A .307 loaded round would be .010 clearance, which is getting big imho.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What Robin said. Most agree that it likes a bit of clearance. Too tight will hurt more than a little loose.
Same here exactly. Those are good numbers. Mine are hunting rifles today so .317 works great. I use to run a 312 chamber but realized reliability wasn't there when used for hunting.I run .312 loaded round with a .317 chamber, for .005 clearance. I use a .310 bushing in my Whidden sizing die.
