I've personally never shot the 150s in my 284 BUT I have some experience with other local shooters using RL17 and the 150 LRAB bullets and having pretty good success. Wish I had the load data and numbers. I'll see what I can find. Here is some data below.Gents, I am still looking for a place to start with the standard 284 win with 140-150gr bullets and RL17. I think its great you all are doing well with 160-180 gr stuff but its heavier than I am looking for, any starting points of experiances you can share ?

In my 284 hunter for everything but elk I used 53.4 RL16 and a 150 Nosler Ballistic Tip. Half minute accuracy out to 300+ yards, 2940 avg velocity, and ES below 20, SD below 4 for 10 rounds. I have RL17 but 16 worked so good I just stayed with it.
