.284 Norma brass

I have 4 unopened boxes of Norma .284 brass. It's my understanding that Norma is no longer making brass for this cartridge. In the past I have necked up the 6.5x284 Lapua brass. What is the preferred brass for the straight .284 win?

Just about everything Norma dried up with the war going on over
there. i always used Norma for all my 284 projects, but it has been
crickets, and switched to Peterson when they ramped up. With as
good as Peterson is, I doubt I'll go back to Norma.

Lapua is probably the preferred brass by most. The Norma that I used had the same capacity as Lapua straight 284. Check neck diameters for clearance on different brass if you are used t shooting 6.5x284 and you chamber is set up for it. . My reamer for 6.5 necked up was 0.316. My reamer for straight 284 Lapua is 0.3195. You may need to neck turn or use a different reamer.

The one major Norma supplier is out and has been since Norma started supporting the war effort.

I switched over to Peterson for several cartridge cases and won't switch back now.
