284 max trim length?

My reloading manuls say max trim length is 2.170, my chamber is 2.196. Should I keep my brass at 2.170 ? Is .026 to long? If so how close to 2.196 should i get?
I measurred the chamber because i ran into some pressure issues and was trying to chase down the problem thinking that it might be cases being too long. This rifle is for LR bench rest. E

I trim all mine to .010 under actual chamber length, not book length, but I do keep a close eye on it for any build up.

Like Preacher says. Take a "physical measurement" of YOUR chamber, write it down and refer to it BEFORE you think about trimming. Most chambers are cut around .020 longer than stated max trim length. Havn't trimmed ANY of my brass for a long time. Once you know your actual "measured" chamber length, then you decide how long YOU want YOUR brass.
