284 brass?

Buy the Norma...its good brass, all you have to do is load and go shoot..the current national record at 1000 yards in F-Class was fired shooting virgin Norma brass in a 284...Pretty good stuff

The issue I have with the Norma brass I bought is the necks were considerably thicker then the Lapua and Winchester brass I had been using. I had to turn a couple thousandths off the Norma, which for me is a pain. I am sticking with Lapua to minimize brass prep and donut issues. If you have a reamer with the neck clearance for the Norma or don't mind the extra work, it is good stuff.
I have been using W-W brass at the advice of Jerry Tierny. I also have some 6.5-284 Lapua necked up to 284 and it gets donuts where the W-W shoots as good without donuts, and it lasts long with reasonable loads and is cheap.
Only problem is they only make it once a year in the spring. If you don't get it then you are out of luck for another year.

I agree with you and have 10 firings on my 400 pieces of WW brass. I thought Winchester had stopped making 284 brass all together. I would love to find out how to get some more from Winchester if you care to share when and where to get in line. Thanks!
My loaded dim. .316 and .016 thick (measured w calipers) I've got 6-7 firings on this brass and have no complaints. No experiance w Winchester brass but having thicker brass I believe is benifical w a .321 chamber
