Well, break in the weather for Oregon so off to shoot. Got fogged in, so 50 yards was the longest I could shoot, that would be ok since shoot, clean, adjust scope. The maven is wonderful, didn’t get to do then100 yard box, but it tracked to where I needed to get dialed in. it was clearer than my spotter. The gun performed better than expected. really don’t like the bolt compared to a tikka. The spiral cut seems to drag, a smooth bolt would be better. adjusted the trigger and stock. Nice, gun points well and still light enough for packing. Shoot, cool, clean, make adjustments. Finally shot 5 shots in a row 16-21 and they were money. Considering, I just pulled a number mid range for IMR 4831 ( the most powder I have to burn up) and used up some old Speer 160 BT. if this is any indication, it’ll probably be a shooter. I didn’t even bring the chrony since I was just sending lead down range. Can’t wait to do some test loads for the accubonds, eldx and hammers.
