280 Remington Load Data Needed

Have a custom standard 280 with a 1:9 barrel 24”, plus muzzle break, looking for load data using 162-168gr bullets. Have some AMax/ELD Match and Berger Classic Hunters. Will be using this rifle to shoot from 0-550 yards, prefer an accuracy over speed.

Shoot at sea level and hunt at about 5/7k elevation.

Any recommendations?

I shoot 54-54.5 gr. RL17 behind a 162 eld m and 162 a max. velocity avg. 2960. 24 in bbl. clean kill one shot at 657 yards on whitetail.

I sold my 280 a few years back and my log book went with it I do remember H4831 and Rl23 were the best powders for accuracy with 160 class bullets.

4831 sc and the bullet it likes in the 160 or so weight range. If using a hunting bullet in the 140 range RL 19 gives good velocity and accuracy. I have had good results with 168 SMK both on targets to 1000 and also on deer.
