.280 AI freebore for factory ammo

I have a friend who is spec'ing out a 280 AI (Nosler) hunting rifle and wants to shoot Nosler's 140 & 160 factory ammo.

Does anyone have a 280AI set up for the Nosler factory ammo? If so, what reamer and what freebore?

I shoot the Berger 168's without issues in my 280AI. Nosler spec PT&G reamer, not sure on freebore my smith is out of town right now. I don't believe it's over 0.100 though.

op,,,a nozler 160 partition requires more FB than a Berger 180 VLD !!!....I would reccomend ~.120" FB,,min,,,,,Roger

Gentleman - thank you. From what we have found, most tend to go with .188 FB which seemed to us to be overkill for factory loads.

yep, the three Reamers I make most of the time and stock are just that. Hunter match at .o98fb +.005, Then the big seller is the .188fb and the guys get a few like Wheeler's Hybrid jump @ .220 to .230 fb depending weather a fellow wants to burn into the sweat spot or not , you guys are on it .
