280 AI Berger 180, 184 , or 190's ?

With an 8 twist the 190gr Berger would be on my list to try for sure, however
the 184 and 180 Berger's may do better...test and find out..

The BERGER 180 HYB TGT, 184 LRHT or 190 LRHT bullets would be good choices here with you 1-8 twist barrel. So as Sandstorm says. You need to test to see which one works best for you. If recoil is a factor in your choice. The 180 and 184 grain bullets may be your best choice. If you need load data help. Please contact us at Support@capstonepg.com

I have tested them all and the 180 and 184 seem to shoot well in all my 284s with 8.5 twist. The 190s were a LOT more finicky so I gave up on them. I shoot the 180s in F Class and the 184s in Tactical. The BC on the 184 trues out higher than the 30-cal 215s and have been excellent to beyond a mile for me.

Recoil no problem.will be a 25# unlimited. Its just that I have a 8 twist available...right now! So wanted to see who shot 8 twist with these bullets. ...not 9 or 8.5 twist. Thanks again

190 works well with that twist and case capacity
It’s an excellent performer at distance.

When I previously ran a 280AI I used Berger 184gr hybrids - two barrels both liked a 30thou jump and around 55.8gr of RL23 with no pressure and excellent accuracy in 8.5 twist barrels, 32" long.

I talked to Phill at Berger. He said there running a LARGE batch of 180 Hybreds. Said to try both 180 and 190 , of course to see if barrel prefers one over other. I appreciate it guys.Pete
