Like in other post seating depth gets the conversation. I am loading for a hunting rifle made to run from the mag so I will have an max overall length set by mag and will find it the right way with a Hornady OAl gage. What I would like to know is starting with this bullet and having never ran Bergers before where do I find load data or can I find something close to the design of the bullet in the same weight like out of a Hodgon manual and start with a know good powder and Yes start low and work up. I am a keep it simple guy but at the same time will not put up with an load that wont shoot. So how do I start out with Bergers or does anyone have some load data I could use. The rifle is a Factory Rem. 700 270wsm. Thanks.
