270 WSM/ 170 bergers

Looking for information on the 270 wsm and the new Berger 170 eol bullet ? A friend of mine is considering a 270wsm build using primarily the 170 Berger. Berger does make a 130, 140 and 150 as well but he has no knowledge other than what's been printed. His focus was on a 280 or 7 mag until he came to realize Berger made some decent bullets for the 270. Any help would be appreciated.

I build a lot of 270 WSM's set up for the 165/175 Matrix VLD's and I have a couple rifles in now that I have to do full load development with the 170 Berger as well so I'll get some data for them as well. The 270 WSM is my personal favorite with the 165 Matrix, killed a pile of elk 85-900+ yards with this combination and always been very pleased!

Apparently he changed his mind. He's now looking at the 270 win. I looked at some data and it looks decent even for the 270 win. Obviously the wsm would give better numbers but I think he has a bunch of brass already for the 270 win. Load data for the 170 eol in a 270 win was pretty decent considering there are not all that many good bullets made for that caliber shooting at long ranges. Hopefully he wont be disappointed in the decision.
