264 Win Mag Powder Choices

Hi All, I had a 264 win mag built....Due to the lack of available powder that most recommend, (Retumbo, RL's, etc.), I found a couple pounds of 8133....I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the 8133.....Thanks, Desertbandit...

It’s extremely similar to Retumbo. Would work good in that case. Almost identical charge for speed as Retumbo

I use IMR 7828 or WC 860 surplus powder. The surplus powder is CHEEP!! Mine does have a 30" barrel though.

I shot a 264 back when it wasn't cool to shoot. Like in the 70's. My hunting load was a 140 Nosler partition and H4831. Killed more than a few Elk with it. Guy I sold it to is still killing Elk with it and the same load.

Check out Hodgon's annual. They have a load with Hybrid 100v and 140 class bullets. It ran 2975 in my rifle and was good for sub 1" groups. Hybrid 100v should be more available than many of the more popular powders.

Powder Valley has Ramshot LRT. I'd love to see how it works in 264wm.
It wasn't out when I had mine.
