I have never had a work-up go so far off the rails as this one, and it has me frustrated. I will probably shove those Match Burners to the side and start looking for Lapua or Berger or Sierra. Once I find a lot of 500 I will pounce.
As for the magazine length - I totally agree that this is the Achilles Heel of the development. Normally Remingtons are so long-throated that it is like throwing a hotdog down a hallway to reach the lands. Incredibly, this one is .020" from touch at maximum mag length. 6.5 with long ogives in my experience tend to like a .030" to 0.045" jump. I never jam.
