260 Rem Bullet Seating depth & compressed loads

I'm back to reloading 260, I had short break from it while I was loading 6BR, so guys how do you deal with short throat, when your max OAL running into the lands and you must seat bullet way pass body-shoulder junction and if you use 42gr of H4350 you hear powder crunch while seating bullets, I know there are still space around the bullet, but it will berry them in the powder charge. So does this have any effect, like pressure variance, which will lead to fliers? So far I haven't exceed 41 gr for my loads and most I load is 40.3 - 40.6gr.

I, too, am curious about how much 'crush' is advisable: QuickLoad shows a 111% fill which brings the powder to the base of the neck while the bullet seats about 0.43" below the neck. Do I really want to crush it that much?
BTW, this 111% fill is only in the 49k ~ 50k pressure load so isn't max.

In my 260 I have seated 140vld, 139scenar, and 140amax deep into the case with no ill effects, I had my chamber cut short because I wanted to be able to seat the vld's and scenars at or in the lands and still be able to feed from AICS mags, right now after 1850 rounds my Ojive length is 2.250, 140amax .015 off the lands is going 2810, single digit ES\SD, I use Win 7-08 brass necked down and slightly neck turned, CCi 200 primers, and of course H4350 is my powder, 42.3 grains of it.

I have my 260 in the long action with the mag to hold 30-06, so seating depth is not an issue here. 142 SMK has 2.268" and 139gr Scenar 2.270" length by ojive. So Brian, with 42.3 gr you didn't notice any vertical jumps? 7-08 is probably better way to make 260, but I'm using 308 Lapua cases and for comparison I used 260 R-P cases and somehow they shoot better then the one I fireformed from 308, which are also neck-turned prior.

I use 123gr A-Max with 48.0gr H4831SC, loaded to 2.835 OAL. The load is compressed so there is a little crunch during seating, but absolutely no pressure signs and low ES/SD.

I have not noticed any vertical, but I am also not a group shooter, after load development is done I mostly shoot 1 dot 1 bullet inside 500, after that I shoot golf balls out to 1k.
