260 Rem @ 123 A-Max?

I have tried them in my 6.5 Creedmore with good results, should do fine in a 260 Rem. Did you go to Purdue?

Yes, I did go to Purdue...class of 2005.

I picked up a couple boxes a while back and have been using them to work up loads; haven't found the perfect load yet but it seems I'm getting closer.

Boilerup,
i shot a 3x600 with an Elesio RTS (31") 1:8 twist, LC brass .308(M80) squished down and turned for concentricity not chamber, Wolf primers. not a thorough load workup but shot 42 gr of IMR 4350. jammed .007 on the lands. Showed alot of promise shot well if i did my part. i have also run 37gr of 4064, wolf primers, same brass under Berger 120 BT at mag length speed was 2850 single digit ES and SD. i hope this helps. I am going to hold out for the new Lapua Scenar-L 123s before i get any more small 6.5s. i am mainly running the Berger 140vlds now. i think the Amax is a great choice as the 120 class 6.5 projo out of the .260, 6.5cm, and 6.5x47Lapua don't lose a hole lot compared to the mighty 6.5x284. We just get better BBL life, and less powder used per round. good luck to you and please post up how you do in the load work up and choices.
cheers,
doc

I've had great success with the 123 A-max, in a 6.5 Grendel, over AA2520 powder, in a 26" Satern ss cut rifled barrel. This load works great at the 600 yd HP XTC line. You should do fine.

Bill

BoilerUp me too but way back in 1971 and 73. I shoot long range mostly and mainly 139-142 gr bullets but my rifle is very accurate with the 123 gr A-max.
