260 Encore

I have a EABCO 260 Remington and I loaded some 143 grain Hornady ELDX with 40.0, 40.5, and 41.0 grains of H4350, OAL 2.800. Is this a good place to start? There's not much data out there that I can find using ELD-X bullets in a 260. This will be mostly used on deer. Forget the Hornady and stick with 140 soft point or what? This a 26" barrel.
Thanks

Shorter BBLs like pistols tend to do better with slightly faster powders than their rifle counterparts. In my XPs and Encores I use a lot of Win 748, N-140, 4895 etc

Not looking for speed a deer doesn't know the difference between 2500 and 2800. Looking for accuracy.
Thanks for the information.
