Get the reamer guys to make a sizing reamer also... You can get them to setback the shoulder any length (e.g. .002) rather than a plain SAMMI sizer. Of course the gunsmith will need to make the sizer die for you. More MONEY!They have finish reamers at JGS but can't find dies, was hoping the 260AI would work but looks like a no go, or it's beyond my thinking cap this morning
think I will pass on the reamer but thanks for the info I appr itGet the reamer guys to make a sizing reamer also... You can get them to setback the shoulder any length (e.g. .002) rather than a plain SAMMI sizer. Of course the gunsmith will need to make the sizer die for you. More MONEY!
Looking a that the 2 drawings it looks like the CHETA will physically hold "some" more of your favorite powder. 1.67 vs 1.64 length at the bottom of the shoulder. Maybe one is more severe on the throat, harder to extract, some other voodoo? Look around - ask more shooters - I have only seen one 260-based-wildcat on YouTube of any kind. I'm still using the original 6.5-08 reamer and it is very accurate at 600. Never tried it farther out. I'm using N-160 - I just this week started using small primers with new 260 brass. Peterson brass.Get the reamer guys to make a sizing reamer also... You can get them to setback the shoulder any length (e.g. .002) rather than a plain SAMMI sizer. ne more thing - If you decide to get a custom sizer die get one with a flat/square bottom. It is easier to use calipers on it when dialing in a different should bump (many factory dies kinda round off the bottom of the dies)Looking a that the 2 drawings it looks like the CHETA will physically hold "some" more of your favorite powder. 1.67 vs 1.64 length at the bottom of the shoulder.
