.260 action mod help

have an rpa quadlite action .308
with accu. mag less blinder in mag coal 2.950
want to run 142 smk .
question is can a milled radius on center line of feed ramp be made to accomodate bullet length with enough material on either side to catch case shoulder on feed ramp .

"Drilled" radius...very doubtful.
A "Milled" radius....maybe.

Sell the RPA Quadlite.
Purchase a chrome moly or stainless action with gazillions of Remington 700 parts to choose from.

My 260 action is custom made to allow this. It's called a "seeking cut mag well" at defiance machine. Not sure if thats just what they call it, or if that term is interchangeable.

Not thst im aware of. Defiance can tell you all about it. I just know if im gonna use seekins bottom metal i get a seekins cut. No feed rails and longer cut as far as i know

This sounds the same as what a Remington requires with Alpha and Accurate mags. The cut is typically .080-.100". I use a 1/4" end mill. Virtually all DBM's require this cut if using mags without the blinder plate. An Eliseo RTS chassis needs the same action cut if using those mags as well. Other chassis may need the cut too.
