I have a Criterion 223 Rem Match 1-7 Twist Savage Small Shank barrel in Varmint contour. Barrel is 26" and has 5/8x24 threading.

I put around 200 rounds though it. Nothing wrong with it. Decided to change it out for a shouldered MTU barrel on my TL3 action. I switched to a foundations stock on that gun an need the thicker barrel for balance and looks. Barrel seemed to like the 80 SMK and 85.5 Berger. Did not shoot well with any Hornady ELDM bullet.
