What is the barrel life of a 257 WBY Magnum

It’s not a cartridge to consider for prairie dogs so 800 - 1000 or a little more shots is a lot of big game killing.

I have shot a 257 Wby Mag for years and love it. Then I had a 25-300 Wby Mag Built and it really out shines the 257 Wby.

The 257, 270, 7mm WBYs all share the same case. The 300 Wby is a larger case.

Thanks for explaining that. I always thought if I ran out of 257s I could neck down some 300s. They wouldnt chamber. I would have figured that out after I had a bunch loaded Doug
