256 WinMag loads

Anyone have some good loads for the 256 Win Mag and 75gr + bullets. These will be fired in a 26" 12 twist barrel. Thanks.

I shot a short barreled Martini in 256 Win. Mag. for a number of years. Using either Sierra or Hornaday 75g JHP's and 16.7g of Hodgdon H-116,a surplus 30 carbine powder, velocity was about 2600 fps and accuracy was as good as I could shoot with the aperture sights on my rifle. ,Alas, my eyes are old and I've retired this rifle but am building another Martini in 256.) This load was maximum in my rifle so you'll want to start 15% less if you can find any of this powder.
