25 Creedmoor Dies?

I know I can use 6 or 6.5 bushing dies for the neck sizing with proper bushing, but what is everyone using for the seating die?

If you have the 6 or 6.5 seating die, buy a new 25 cal. seater stem. You'll need the VLD if you intend to shoot the BlackJack bullets.

I make my own dies and have for a long time because the wait times for custom dies is just plain stupid. If you're not producing ammunition in volume you can buy arbor press die blanks to machine your own by using your chamber reamer. Be sure to get an arbor press while you're at it!;)

Exactly what @Kurz said. Have your gunsmith chamber your seater blank when he chambers your barrel and your set. The micrometer tops aren't necessary, but boy are they nice. Arbor press and you are good to go.

Winner, winner. Chicken dinner. That's all, don't over think it.

The only thing I would like to see is regular full length dies made to work with their reamer that we could buy direct from Blackjack.

At some point I'd like to turn my 40x 308 into a 25 Creed or a 25XC.

I couldn't disagree more. Blackjack already stocks more than I think is necessary, at some point you have to have a little ambition and do some work yourself. Think of all the costs Miles and crew are sitting on with all there inventory.

Disagreeing with me doesn't make you right, ya know.

Assuming I'm working with only off-the-shelf dies, I'm still trying to cobble this together. If I used a 6.5mm Creedmoor seater, wouldn't I run the risk of excessive runout because the bullet could start seating slightly off-center?

Is there another seater die that would have the .257" neck that would work? I see RCBS makes a competition seater for the 25 WSSM.

Show me in my post where I said you where wrong, or I was right?

Can people not disagree anymore without someone getting there panties in a wad? You think Blackjack needs to keep everything in-stock, I think people should get a little initiative and purchase some components on there own. That doesn't make my opinion right, or yours wrong.

I use a redding 260 rem comp seater with a 257 vld seating stem. I have very little run out and the accuracy is more than I can handle. I use this because I didn't want to have to buy another seater when one I had would work. Could a dedicated 25 creedmoor seater help, sure, is it worth it? don't know, not worried.

I ended up going with a 6.5 Creedmoor RCBS Gold Metal Match FL bushing sizer, replacement 25 caliber decapping stem, and a .282" bushing. Then I went the RCBS 25-06 Competition Seater, with an extended shell holder. And there was a rebate on all the RCBS parts, which is a nice bonus.
