25 Cal FMJ

Hello folks,

Does anyone know of a 25 Cal FMJ for sale? I am thinking 100gr + for use in a .257 Roberts.

Just off the top of my head, I have been shooting and reloading 25 cal since about 1973 and I do not remember ever seeing an FMJ cup and core bullet in .257 diameter.
About as close as you will come is a 100 grain SMK. There may be some custom copper solids out there.

Not for rifle ammunition.

There is FMJ for .25 caliber pistol ammunition but that measures 0.251" and is too small for your rifle.

I suggest that if this is important, look into getting a pointing die for some of the 'Match' bullets offered by Sierra, Berger and others. Pointing these down to a zero hollow point should act as an FMJ mostly. Test for stability and accuracy.

Cutting Edge makes hollow point .25 caliber bullets. Call them to see if their programming can leave out the hollow point and leave you with a solid 'FMJ'.

Hammer Bullets is also known for cooperating with shooters needing something a little more special than what they create for sale. They have .25 caliber bullets in your 100 gr. range that maybe could be modified.
