25-06 Hornady Dies

Trying to size 25-06 Rem with Hornady Full Size die. New die using Sinclair sizing wax, set die to bump shoulder back .004 inch. measuring with Hornady tool. I ran 3 pieces of brass through just fine, 4th came out with ridges on the shoulders. I cleaned die, nothing really in it, next 2 or 3 came out fine, next one had ridges on it again.
Anyone else had this happen, I've never had it before, but i have never used Hornady Dies before.

Sounds like too much sizing die wax in the neck/shoulder area. The lube will leave dents or ridges in the shoulder.

Hi Cheek

I've had Lee FLsizers,RCBS FL sizers,Forster,do that to me each time I had been a little heavy on the shoulder with the lube, whatever the lube....Don't put any lube on your shoulders if you can manage it,you'll cease to dent them,I'm sure.
