What weight bullet do you like?
I've killed a few Antelope with a 25-06. The only bullet I've ever used was a 100 gr Nosler Partition. I think it would be tough to pick a bullet that wouldn't work. What weight bullet do you like?
I agree.I think it would be tough to pick a bullet that wouldn't work.
100g NBTs over 61g Retumbo. 3400fps and 3/8-1/2 MOA. Smoking prairie goat load.
This right here about sums it up!!!I've killed a few Antelope with a 25-06. The only bullet I've ever used was a 100 gr Nosler Partition. I think it would be tough to pick a bullet that wouldn't work.
Yep.....I agree 100%!!I agree.
Only depends on how much meat you want to take home.
Some bullets are quite soft and will leave a lot of blood shot meat.
It doesn't take a helluva cartridge or bullet to take antelope, What means everything is a well placed shot. You can shoot all the groups in the world, but you must be able to hit a spot within 1" of point of aim in the field. At long range, if an antelope begins to take a step at the shot, you've gut shot or ham shot the animal. It doesn't matter what bullet you've used. If you hit a large bone, you have a mess.
My message to you is, if you pick your shot at a range that you can confidently hit within 1" of your point of aim, you will make your life a lot more clean.
Well put. I'm the guy that waits for the 95% or better shot.It doesn't take a helluva cartridge or bullet to take antelope, What means everything is a well placed shot. That makes you a Hunter............ I'm the guy that waits for the 95% or better shot.
I've killed a handful of whitetails with the Sierra 90gr and 120gr boat tail hollow points....no complaints at all.87g Speer hot core/Sierra 85g/Sierra 90g bthp all did a great job with R#19/IMR 4831, at 3600 fps.
If you are going for some distance, then the 115g Berger VLD hunting with R#22 or N165 will get you there.
The last buck I killed was at 460 yards, I shot him with a Rem 788 in 223 with a load of 26.5g of Win 748 with a 55g Sierra. We had drove off and left the wind flag out with it's red tail which was 1/2" red yarn. He was rubbing his scent glands on the red yarn, he flopped at bullet impact.
Thanks. I'll try it.Jump the TTSX .050 from the lands, you will probably not have to change that depth.
