243wssm vs 6mmBR???

hey guys, im trying to deciede what to build, still). before i needed to build a rifle i wanted a 6BR. but now i need to rebuild a 223wssm, and my bolt has already been fitted with a sako extractor so i want to keep it simple and make something with the same case head as the short mag family.

so i started thinkin of the 7wsm because ive heard a lot of great things about its long range ability. but now im thinking of how little id shoot it, short barrel life, how much it would cost to shoot it, and im thinking again about the 6mm's.

so id like to hear about your opinions on the 243wssm. i think id like to use 105gr Amax to take advantage of the .500bc. so what are your experiences with these two cartridges and the 105gr bullets?

or should i just rebuild it as the 223wssm? FYI...the rifle has a 1-8"twst shilen select match barrel that shot awesome with the 75gr Amax for about 400 rounds. now there is only a trace of rifling left in the first 1.5" of the barrel and is shooting 2" groups @ 100yrds. this gun was a 750yrd squirrel terminator before it went bad!!!!:,

thanks for any opinions....

Hi Fieldrat!

Contact PacNor and ask Chris about their wildcat chambering in 6.5-25WSSM, with a 28" and a 1 in 8" twist and 123 to 142 grain bullets it should be a real varminator out to 800 yards if you do your part and the throat should last longer.
