243ai loads for Heavies???

I have a new 7.7 5r benchmark barrel for my aiae it is mtuish contour and 28" long. i have a good fireforming load already so next week i will be ready to start testing full loads.

Needless to say i bought this barrel just for fun i have a 243 24" barrel also and this one is just to shoot some screaming 105-115 bullets. I am hoping to get the dtacs to 3200fps or the 105-108's 3300fps.

46.1grains of Reloader 25 behind 105 Hybrids. It's a bit over the top. I started a lot lower and worked my way up. Lost accuracy before any signs of pressure. Good luck. Scott

I shoot the 105 grain Berger VLDs at 3200 fps with 50 grains of Retumbo in a 26" barrel.

wow 50grains is that up to the neck with powder?

It is definitely full and makes a little crunch when you seat the bullet, but shoots great. There are no signs of pressure and I have 5 reloads on my brass and have not had to trim yet.

I run 46.6 of H4831SC with the 105 and 47.2 with the 95 SMK, bith lazers to 600yds, in a 30 inch 7.5 twist 3 groove benchmark barrel melonited.
