.243

Just had a Sako .243 which is v.accurate for a light rifle. Using 58g v-max and 48g of h414, it seems to tear up the paper target. Does any one know what’s wrong? I am shooting 1.5inch groups with a Schmidt and bender 6x42 which I am happy with, it just tears the paper target up. Help!!!

What type of backer board are you using to put your target on? That little bullet moving that fast will start coming apart when it hits the paper target and most likely pieces of your target backer are being blown back through your target.

the problem was the board not the bullet. i was using thick ply. it used to be fine, but as it got wet, the impact was causing presure between the board and the paper. =paper rips
