243 wssm questions

I am looking at a 243 wssm and was wondering how it would compare to my 6mm-284, 12twist. Don't know the 243 wssm twist as they didn't list it, barrel life isn't an issue as it will be for hunting yotes. Don't see much press on the wssm's.

I have 2. A Winchester Coyote, and a Browning A Bolt.
1:10 twist.

Terry, have seen you over at VHA. How would you compare to two (6mm-284 & 243 wssm)

The 243WSSM is more like the standard 243. 6x284 uses a lot more powder. WSSM works well with light nimble rifles.

All Winchester and Browning 223 and 243 WSSMs factory barrels are chrome lined so even though you aren't concerned, it will have decent barrel life. All factory barrels are 10 twist.
I can tell you that my 30" 8 twist 243 WSSM can push a 105 grain bullet at 3250 fps. And my 22" 10 twist can push a 58 grain VMax at 4000 fps although I run mine at 3820 fps (most accurate).

Thanks for the info, looks like I may need to add a wssm as one of my choice's for 6mm's in the safe can never have enough rifles to choose from!
