243 Win 55gr

Does anyone have a good load for the 243 Win using Nosler's 55gr hpfb varmageddon bullets? I haven't been able to find one in the manuals or online. I'm used to loading 70 or 80 grains in the 243 and I got these 55gr varmageddon's pretty cheap and would like to drive them as close to the speed of light as I can while retaining at least enough accuracy to connect with a groundhog or prairie dog at a reasonable distance.

Try http://data.hodgdon.com They have info for 2 different 55gr. Nosler bullets. Should get you in the ballpark.

The 55 varms are fast and devistating on small varmints, or head shots on woodchucks. It if you get a full size adult and don't head shot them, they just dump there energy. I prefer the 87gr v max personally.

Work on the data for 60g bullets, which I use Win 760 & Fed 210's for amazing accuracy.

Best accuracy will be on the top end of the pressure. A buddy uses Varget with cci 200's for 55g Noslers, velocity is 4150 in his 24" barrel.
