Barrel break in and first groups of the Craddock Precision 243 Bartlein 1-8 barrel.

Second set on the bottom the barrel was getting up to speed and was starting to hum. It was about 42 degrees with a tricky cross wind..

Never hit pressure. Need to try 46 grains just for giggles, but I am liking that 3050 node.

You're getting pretty good velocity considering the weather.

Mind sharing the detail of the load ? Brass, primer, COAL and relation to lands ? neck turned ? etc.

Im pretty confident it will be alright. My buddy has a cbi barrel that was chambered with the same reamer. He is getting exactly the same results.

Probably the Price, has scared some away ! I LIKE it a lot and want to thank you,.. for suggesting it !
I could only find, 4 pounds at, the time I was looking, but now, I know where, an 8 or, 10 pounder, sits ! Soon as the "Final" loads are achieved and I've determined that, this is "IT",.. I'll grab it ! The recoil "Pulse" seems to be, smoother/ lighter than, other Powders I've tried with same Bullet/ Velocities! Hopefully, this is NOT, my imagination,.. LOL ! I am focusing on the 2, 87's ( V Max and HVLD'S) right now, as I have a 1-10 twist and would rarely have, a need to shoot further than, 600-700 Yards. After shooting about 500-700 rounds thru it, I may have it reamed out, to 6mm SLR, to "save" what's left of, the barrel ! I've read great things about, 6mm SLR and slow / "cold burning" Powders and bbl "Life". I will be happy, using the lower Node Velocities, as I will "Dial" range desired with, a custom tape, on my Turret.
