243 loads for 105 bergers ?

105 Hybrids or VLDs? If the VLDs, I'd recommend 108s instead. (Hybrids are a good choice, though)

The 105VLD is the only Berger bullet that is different in the thick/target vs standard/hunting/thin jacket. They had some manufacturing issues a while back and cut the 105 target (thick) a bit shorter, so the meplat was a bit bigger. That lowered the BC below that of the 108 (which is a really good bullet).

If you're shooting a small 6mm (like the BR family), use the 105 VLD hunting. If you're shooting something that's got enough umph that you're worried about blowing up bullets (certainly includes the 243, not sure about 6XC-sized ones, but probably), then use the 108.

Or, use the 105 Hybrid. (or the 115, but that's probably not an option with the 1-8)

243 win and 105's are a great combo. Lots of powder works great from H4350 and slower. I have used H4350, RL-22, H1000, and Retumbo. I used H1000 as it work the best.
