I would like to re barrel a Remington 700 in 243 AI. As I surf through the infinite choices from barrel manufactures, choices and confusion is reaching critical mass. I intend to use this rifle for long range(for me,maybe 1000 yards) steel and rock smacking, just a pleasure rifle, however it may serve as my Varmint Silhouette match rifle in the future.
I would like to fire the 115DTAC or any of the premium 100-107's . Looks like I will need a 1:7.5 T to do that. My question is what grove diameter and how many groves, I see everything from 3 to 6.
