been working up a load for my new rifle and im having problems finding something that impresses me.

1-10 shilen 26 inch s/s
700 sa with bolt and action trued and blue printed sako extractor

ive been shooting 87 gr v maxs with imr 4350 i can get some decent groups but nothing im happy with.

anyone have any advice?

I also use the 87 Gr V-Max for my .243 AI. The best groups come around 44.0 to 46.0 Grs of IMR4350. If the 87 V-Max do not work try some 85 Gr HPBT Sierra's. The B.C. is not as high but they group great for short range.

My guns are 13" and 9" twist. Both are very accurate with 70gr bullets and W760 powder.

I shoot the 70g Noslers with 48.5g of Win 760 in a REm case with a CCi-250 primer, 1/4" three shot groups are normal. 3800-3850 fps is normal with a 27-28" barrel.

My hunting partner also shot the 70g Speer TNT with the 48.0g of Win rem case, cci-250 primer.

We shot p. dogs, and 450 yds was not a problem in the least for one shot kills.
