240 Tomahawk Load Data Needed for AR-15

Please let me know what you have used. I have not found any load data on the keystone accuracy site. I have a 24" 1-8 twist and plan to use 70 gr to 105gr bullets. I am using Hornady 6mm Hagar brass that has been reformed for 240 Tomahawk. I will use it for shooting NRA High Power XTC matches.

Well thanks. That is a good start.

I would really like to use VV N140 if it is possible. I see he had limited R-15 testing listed . I could probably use that as a starting point.

Anyone have experience with R-15, Varget, or N140 family of burn rate?

If I was in your shoes, I would start with reduced 6 HAGAR data and work up. The two cartridges are so similar there can't be that much case capacity difference between the two of them.

I ran a .240 Tomahawk for a couple of seasons of Highpower. I had great success with Hornady 6.8 brass and Berger bullets.

I can’t recall what specific powder charges I used, but I had the best results with RL-15 and 8208XBR. I found N140 to be accurate, but temperature sensitive. I would start with 8208 as it really performed incredibly well in all aspects.

It’s case capacity is so close to the Hagar the load data is nearly identical.
