240 NMC?

Spook

Captured too late to be fully domesticated.
Does someone have or can somone point me toward a chamber/reamer print for the 240 National Match Course? TIA...

available from PPG on request

note : this caliber is now, even if that a good one ) a bit obsolte because 6 XC is on the market with similar performance and ready available set of dies and without forming works .

use of the 240 NMC and the 6XC is the same

good shooting and Merry Christmass

240 NMC or the 6XC are about the same cartridge. The 240 NMC has a 20 degree shoulder while the 6XC has a 30 degree shoulder. Other than that they are very similar.

However, there is another new cartridge the 6mmCompetionMatch. This cartridge is based off of the 243 Win case. Uses the 243 brass, very little fire forming and gives great barrel life, great accuracy and better barrel life, from the first chambering). We getting 3000 rounds per barrel.

If you want more information contact me at hendricks4@comcast.net topic 6CM.

As previously stated- Dave Kiff at PTG for reamer

Randy Gregory- affordable Hornady Match Grade Dies w/ bushings

Don't discount this round, it will do anything the 6x or 6xc will do, fireforming brass is a snap,I have enjoyed mine

Joe.. the 240NMC and the 6XC are not the same.. the 240NMC has more case volume, but a shorter neck than the XC.. Randy Gregory and Steve kenusten,Spelling?) came out with the 240NMC before David came out with the 6mmX. The 6mmX is the one that had the 20 degree shoulder because it was originally a .243 shortened .132 and using 22/250 brass. Then David came out with the 6XC which has a 30 degree shoulder. The 240NMC has a 28 degree shoulder, which is the same angle of the 22/250. The 240NMC is the same over all length of the 22/250, but when fired formed.. it changes to a 28 degree shoulder with a .308 body taper. On the 6XC the shoulder has been pushed back slightly to get the longer neck.
