.236 or .237 bore for 6BR?

Have had equally good results with both (236/237). Same for other barrel configuration attributes.
Of the opinion that bore diameter, groove configuration, barrel length, etc., etc., are simply coincidental and arbitrary attributes of a great barrel. Can anyone offer proof, that isn't simply coincidental?

Absoultely this^^^ There is more difference in the personalty of an individual barrel than a difference in bore size.

My OPINION is the 8 twist 237 4 Krieger is THE barrel to beat at 1k in the dasher. It is always my first choice. Others have shot good and even better, but that is the barrel I compare all others to. In a word, CONSISTENT. With the fat bullets we shoot today I prefer the larger bore. One thing I can say is, if your looking for top accuracy stay away from the 5r. There has been exceptions to this, but in general they do not preform as well in the 6mm bore. I know Donovan has a good Benchmark, and the Rocks seem to work, but I really try and stay away from the Bartlien and Krieger 5r is the dasher.

All Bruno's 6mm barrels are 237 bore, but Krieger direct has 236. Which one for the heavy 105's-107's with 8 twist? Thanks

I have 2 of each bore. And see literally NO difference between the two as far as accuracy, pressure, etc. Only difference between them is what bullets the one 237 bore likes. A shooter's wind reading and reloading skills will dictate much more to accuracy than 236 vs 237 from what I've seen out of them. JME. WD

Rodney Wagner shoot the 600 yard world record at our club a couple years ago with a Brux barrel and 108 Bergers .336 so the 236 bore will shoot. But like it's already been said I don't think it makes much difference I have three 236 barrels and they all shoot very well:cool:

I always kind of thought there was a connection between the lot of bullets that you're currently working with, i.e. fat bullets ~ .237 and skinny bullets ~ .236 but I can't give you a shred of empirical evidence to back that up. . . .

With the 6 BRA would you share what barrel you would buy to build your own? At least twist & groove. Not interested in any scientific data. Just based on your experience & what you have seen.

Still prefer 4 groove. Also using mostly Bartliens lately. An 8 twist 4 groove would suite you well.
I too have a Bartlien 4g, 8tw, .237 for a 6x47L sending Berg 105vlds. Phenominal accuracy. But also have a Kreiger select 5r, 8tw, .236 also for a 6x47L sending same 105vld's. Equally astonishing accuracy.
