Shoot starts at noon. Best to come a little earlier. Different classes... sporters to BR guns. Run what ya bring. $10 entry. Bring wind flags. You'll more than likely need them.

If the turnout is good, there will be time between relays or events to shoot at the pistol range, or maybe even a round of that shotgun stuff with those clay birds that fly though the air.

Hurt is about midway between Danville & Lynchburg. Easy access from Rt.29 to the club.

Hello to all. First I would like to correct the date of the match. It will be Sunday the 13th, at noon. There are ten covered concrete benches with a pistol range beside the rifle range that can be used to sight in while waiting. Had planned to shoot a group, and score target (currently ARA factory or unlimited class target), for each shooter. Each target will be a 20 min time frame. The range is set up to shoot at 100, 200, 300 so there might be a long range fun shoot, or money shoot. First match for us so want to gage the interest of shooters. I plan to hold IR5050 matchs later on once I get this first match over. Ther is a chance we could shoot ABRA matches also but I have not submitted any paperwork to those activities yet. Several of us have been focused on getting the range ready for 50 yd matches since there was no 50 yd firing line. Brush Mountain is a very nice private club with a clubhouse and snacks available. It is a skeet range and sporting clays range but you must have a member to sponser you shooting. There are several ways to get to the club but currently VDOT has closed the SHULA rd access due to bridge repair.

Hello, we held the match today and it was very good weather for shooting. Some wind but no flags blew down so I'd call it mild. Ten shooters showed up and we all shot the ARA target, 3 shot factory and 7 shot unlimited with one pulling out due to scope issues.

All in all it was a very nice shoot and everybody had a great time. We decided to use IR5050 targets from now on since I find them much easier and faster for me to score. Thanks to all who showed up and helped to get this first match going. This will be a monthly match every 2nd Sunday at 1200. Come and join us.
