22rf barrel T.C.?

Hi I have a T.C.Contender frame and stock. I would like to build a 22rf for league shoots. = 50 feet standing. It has to be under 7.5 lb w scope.

Should I look for a used barrel and fore end [if so what] or buy another gun?

What are your thoughts?

TC makes both 22lr and 22lr match bbls; you should get a match bbl. It will have a tighter chamber and, in my experiance will outshoot the regular bbls. Any length bbl will work at 50 feet so get one that makes the gun ballance well for you. Test many kinds of ammo but for 50 foot offhand work you can probably find something not too expensive that will work well for you. I think you should be able to find something in the range of $180 - $225.
