22PPC

I have some used 22 PPC brass that will not chamber in either one of my rifles. I have run it through a 6 PPC body die as I only have a 22 PPC neck die. It still will not chamber. Do I need a 22 PPC body die or a full length sizing die?
I would like to stay away from the expense of having a custom die made.
thanks

Del, try grinding off .003 off the top of your shell holder, then resize the brass in the 6 PPC Brass.

I hold the shell holder against the side of the benchgrinder wheel and GENTLY apply pressure. Have a cup of water handy to cool the shell holder because it will get hot.

Measure the shell holder from top to bottom, and try and keep it as square as possible, you will see the high spots and make your measurements from there.

Send me an email if you have further trouble.

Goode luck!

You can also chuck the shellholder upside down in a drill press.
Run it down on a well oiled sharpening stone. Do 2 or 3 to get the different thickness you want. Works slick. They come out nice and flat. Looks like a machined surface.
Sounds like you need a full length die to set the shoulder back a bit.
